  12. I want to share a USR Sportster modem between my AMiga and a PC 486.
  13. For that I use a modemsplitter MS-103 for PC. I thought Amiga's serialports
  14. are the same but it seems to be false. It works with the PC but I can't reach the modem
  15. with the Amiga.

  17. In the docs for the device there's a chapter about the operation:

  19. Signals present on the MASTER connector at pins 1,3,5,6,7,8,15 & 17 are
  20. sent to the corresponding pin on each of the ports connectors. Signal
  21. present on the PORT connectors at pins 2,4 & 20 are passively read and sent
  22. to the correspondinf pins on the MASTER conector.

  24. The box are really simple, no switches at all. Three inputs for the computers
  25. and one output to the modem.

  27. Can anyone tell me the difference between PC and Amiga's serialport?
  28. And tip me for a solution...
